Matthew Larsen is a cancer survivor
Someday I will edit this page more, but here’s the short version:
I was originally diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (Hodgkin’s Disease) in 2001 and went through a few biopsy surgeries and about six months of chemotherapy. It was no picnic, but I came out of it okay.
I had a clean bill of health for a number of years, but unfortunately a recurrence of Hodgkin’s was discovered in 2005. This time, I underwent a more severe treatment; a month-long high-dose chemotherapy regimen and a stem cell transplant which was coordinated through Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Before that month-long stay, I went through a number of biopsy surgeries, chemo treatments, shots, etc. It took a long time to recover, but I am okay now.
